Some of the skins I created for the playable ball pawn in Mindball Play. Really fun to work on since I could go wild with any skin I could think off!
The bulk of the texturing was done in Substance Painter with some details made in Photoshop.
Each skin has a total of four 1024×1024 textures each:
When the textures were exported I created a master materials which could support all the effects. It was important that it had parameters for hue offsets and hue shifts to be used in the skin select widget, see video. The material also needed lots of switch parameters for things that all skins didn’t use, like emissive and fresnel.
