I started this project wanting to make a camcorder HUD, inspired mostly from the camcorder in Outlast. After having built a few of the elements using only UV-maths I set a goal for myself to build everything completely procedural without any textures.

There are also some fun stuff that’s hard to spot in the video like the battery draining faster depending on what’s enabled and a “boot” sequence on initialize.
Note that YouTube’s encoding kind of slaughters the grain effect. It looks much better in Unreal, promise!
